Each year, students in the
club welcome homeless kids from the shelters as well as kids with
Downs Syndrome to the school and throw a
HOLIDAY PARTY
complete with gifts, music, ice cream, and pizza. At the party,
club members learn that the only difference between themselves and
the kids in the shelter is the lack of housing. Kids 4 Kids and
friends also "adopts" homeless families for the holidays. Families
who are not homeless are matched with homeless families. At the
KIDS 4
KIDS ADOPT A FAMILY DAY,
they share pizza, ice cream and good cheer. The families give
their adopted family gifts and share a beautiful afternoon. Since
1997, over 300 homeless families and 180 single men and women have
been adopted for the holidays.
