Dear Ms. Davis:

The very generous gifts of your students arrived. It was no surprise to us to see all the care and love that went into preparing the gift bags. Your leadership and guidance was reflected in the project idea and its successful completion. You captured the imagination and good will of these young people and translated it into a beautiful expression of concern for the tornado victims.

The bags of toiletries are certainly useful and will be appreciated by all those who receive them. The Beanie Babies will bring smiles to many sad faces. What a marvelous idea! Young and old alike will have a new friend to love and hold and stroke during their recovery from such a tragedy.

On behalf of all the recipients of your generosity, I send special thanks to you and all who signed the wonderful poster. You, the survivors of Hurricane Andrew, have really made a difference in the lives of those who were so impacted by the disasterous tornadoes here a few weeks ago. Your response to the victims was a tremendous "lift" to all of us who are working in the recovery process. You brightened our day too. We thank you for that also.
