Dear Beth,

Your concern for children who are helped at Camilus Health Concern is proof that God is using you to bring relief to people in need. The ultimate impact of your gifts is determined by the lives it touches. You generous contribution of 50 backpacks directly benefits the poor in our community who cannot afford to purchase proper school supplies for their children.

 

Sometimes it's hard to imagine that parents have to choose between putting food on the table and buying school supplies, but it happens all too often, even in our great country. These children often lie to their friends and say, "I didn't want a backpack." They are too proud to admit that their parents could not afford to buy one.

 

I think it is wonderful that the children in our community are working to help other children who are less fortunate than themselves. Thank you so very much for opening your heart to the needs of the poor. May the goodness you have shown return to you many times over. God Bless You.
